HOUSTON, Texas, September 28, 2017 – Neighbors Emergency Center Midland is pleased to recognize its second year of service to the local community. Neighbors Emergency Center Midland began seeing patients September 26, 2015 and thousands of patients have received exceptional emergency medical care at this location for two years. Besides personalized ER care with short wait times, the center has also brought approximately 30 jobs to the local economy by hiring local board-certified physicians and medical teams with emergency room experience that can treat any adult and pediatric emergencies.
The Midland Location’s Medical Director is Neill Slater, MD, and the location’s Facility Director is Lisa Powers. Neighbors is a product of the community with its doctors and medical teams living near the centers they work, therefore, being in tune with community news, events and people.
Neighbors also prides itself on active community involvement. In Midland, Neighbors has been privileged to participate in local events that benefit health and wellness, local youth, first responders and education.
Neighbors Emergency Center Midland partnered up with the Odessa Jackalopes for the Third Annual “Teddy Bear Toss” on December 10 at Ector County Coliseum. Over 1,200 teddy bears were donated to Midland and Odessa law enforcement, school police and agencies that work with children in crisis.
Championing sports and local athletics, Neighbors Midland was proud to sponsor the Texas Tech University scrimmage at Grande Communications Stadium on March 25. With Midland the home to one of the Red Raiders’ largest alumni groups, Neighbors was honored to help bring the event back to the Permian Basin.
Neighbors partnered with Midland Independent School District to sponsor the monthly “Shout Out Award” to recognize a MISD school nurse for their service and dedication to the community.
Neighbors Midland enjoyed being the title sponsor for the Knothole Kids Gang that joined the Midland Rockhounds’ team mascot, Rocky, at his birthday celebration on August 15.
