Neighbors Emergency Center Pasadena Surprises Teacher with Education Grant

HOUSTON, Texas, January 20, 2017 – The Neighbors Emergency Center Pasadena location was proud to partner with the Pasadena Independent School District’s Education Foundation on December 13.

Neighbors surprised South Houston Elementary Teacher Carrie Blanco with a grant totaling $4,988 for active academic activities in her classroom.

“It is an honor for Neighbors to grant this wish for such an amazing local teacher,” said Miranda Biehle, Marketing Liaison for Neighbors Emergency Center Pasadena. “Ms. Blanco’s wish was to have Active Academics items like stability balls, ergo stools and stability discs in her classroom. This will allow her students to move if they need to while they learn to help them focus and concentrate on learning and stay engaged. Neighbors’ goal is to do all we can to make lives better every day.”

This action is a direct link with Neighbors’ core values of having a genuine, compassionate heart; a creative spark; and being a trusted partner in the communities it is proud to be part of.
