Neighbors Emergency Center West Warwick Supports Breast Cancer Awareness, Sponsors “Making Strides Against Cancer” 5k in Providence, RI
HOUSTON, Texas, October 12, 2016 – The Neighbors Emergency Center West Warwick location is a proud sponsor of the Breast Cancer Awareness Month initiative “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer” in Providence, RI on October 16.
Besides having a presence and booth at the event, Neighbors is pleased to be a Health and Wellness Area Partner for the race. The American Cancer Society “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer” walk is a powerful event to raise awareness and funds to end breast cancer and is the largest network of breast cancer events in the US. The events raise critical funds that help fund breast cancer research; provide free information and services to patients, survivors, and caregivers; and ensure access to mammograms for women who need them.
With one in eight women in the US affected by breast cancer, Neighbors understands the importance of supporting all those affected by breast cancer in October and beyond. By partnering with the American Cancer Society “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer” in Providence, Neighbors hopes to help save lives and make a lasting impact against breast cancer in the community.
This positive action is a direct link with Neighbors’ company values of having a genuine, compassionate heart; a guardian mentality that protects those in need; and a collaborative act delivered with a smile in the communities we serve.
